On Friday 8 February 2022 at about 05h50 a Sibanye bus on its way from Atlantis, collided with a bakkie on the N7 and Vissershok road. Two hours after the accident, two fatalities in the bakkie, two slight injuries in a third involved vehicle and 23 slight injuries in the bus were confirmed.
