Atlantis Opportunities Expo, Conference & Focus Month
One of the main events planned in 2026 is the Atlantis Opportunities Expo, Conference & Focus Month — a landmark initiative designed to connect local talent, investors, SMMEs, and training providers, while raising funds for a dedicated youth centre. The centre will support entrepreneurs on their journey to sustainability and will include a multimedia facility offering media, marketing, communications, and business support services.
The expo will take the form of a multi-day event featuring exhibitions and mini-conferences held across multiple venues in Atlantis, complemented by a dedicated month of strategic media coverage.
The expo aims to:
- Showcase opportunities for SMMEs, youth, entrepreneurs, learners, the unemployed, and jobseekers.
- Position Atlantis as an investment-friendly town, highlighting local skills and the available labour pool.
- Promote community success stories and positive achievements.
- Unlock and accelerate economic opportunities tailored to the needs of Atlantis’ young people.
- Foster meaningful connections that encourage collaboration and reduce barriers to employment.
- Improve access to critical information that drives inclusion and economic participation.
- Identify and nurture young talent through skills-building, mentorship, and capacity development.
- Secure partnerships with training providers, sponsors, civil society, and government to strengthen support systems for youth development.
- Generate sustainable revenue through sponsorships, grants, and advertising collaborations.
Who Should Participate in the Expo and Special 50th Anniversary Publication
- Training and education providers offering learnerships, apprenticeships, skills programmes, bursaries, and career pathways for learners, school-leavers, students, and jobseekers.
- Enterprise and business support organisations providing development, funding, mentorship, and opportunities for SMMEs and entrepreneurs across sectors such as Financial Literacy, GreenTech, Manufacturing, IT, Science, 4IR, Conservation, and more.
- Employers and industry partners creating internships, volunteer placements, and job opportunities that connect young people to real-world experiences.
