Calling Atlantis home for many years, Jorgina Heugh (32) has transformed her love for beauty into a thriving, purpose-driven business that uplifts women not just in her home-town, but across South Africa.
As the founder of Adore Her By G, she has created more than a brand, she has built a community that inspires confidence, skills, and independence. Jorgina’s entrepreneurial journey has been recognised widely. She was named Most Resilient Entrepreneur in the Youth Entrepreneur Awards and has been a finalist or winner in multiple competitions, including the Free SA Young Leaders Awards, YouthStartCT, and GoodHope FM’s Warrior Women Awards. Her innovative business model also earned her financial backing from KFM, Standard Bank, and the Hollywood Foundation.
But this entrepreneur is so much more than awards and accolades. Through her workshops and training sessions, Jorgina has trained over 10,000 women in lash application skills, gifted over 40 makeup artists with starter kits, and supported at least 55 women in launching their own beauty journeys. Her products, luxurious yet affordable lashes and press-on nails, are available online, via WhatsApp and social media, or in-person at her salon. She also offers mobile services across Atlantis, Melkbosstrand, Parklands, and Table View.
Her inspiration comes from Vusi Thembekwayo, a business leader she admires, and she lives by the quote “Grace got me where hustle couldn’t.” For Jorgina, this reminds her that while hard work is essential, faith and purpose guide her brand’s growth.
In 2023, she nearly lost her business due to financial difficulties. That testing season became a turning point, teaching her to rebuild with intention, stay consistent online, improve products, and reconnect with her purpose, giving her a powerful second beginning. When she’s not building her business, Jorgina enjoys exploring new places, trying different activities and restaurants, and listening to podcasts — always looking for inspiration and ways to grow.
Her advice to other young entrepreneurs is simple but profound: “Start with what you have, stay consistent, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. There will be tough days, but those are the days that shape you. Keep your faith strong, stay teachable, and remember small beginnings still count when your purpose is big.” With her unwavering resilience and heart for empowerment, Jorgina Heugh is showing that purpose, faith, and hustle pays off!
